Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, and Community Members,Principal Melissa Layner

Welcome to Lemuel Teal Middle School!

I am so honored to be the principal of this amazing school. Several years ago, I started teaching in Lee County, and I’m proud to say it is the only district in which I’ve ever wanted to work.  Our district and school offer so many opportunities for students to learn and thrive. Our goal at LTMS is to provide a safe school where students can learn and grow into the best version of themselves.

Each day, our teachers are focused on providing relevant and rigorous educational opportunities in our classrooms. At LTMS, we want ALL students to participate in their interests and receive the support they need to prepare for the next level in their educational journey. We need the support of our families and community partners to make this happen, so please reach out to our school and let us know how we can support you in making that happen.  We offer families several different ways to participate and partner with the school, so please be sure to check our monthly newsletter for details about how you can get involved.

As always, please feel free to reach out to a member of our staff if we can assist you in helping you or your student in meeting their goals.

In partnership,
Principal Melissa Layner
